Incorrect.
A number of Genève models came with Seamaster marked casebacks.

·The answer to "does it look legit" is Yes, assuming the movement is ok. It's probably a calibre 601. Your guess on the date is about right, maybe a year or two earlier. Looks a decent enough example from those pics. Value in the UK about £300-350.
