Is this Omega authentic?

I'm a retired jeweler from the Pittsburgh area. I just came across this watch and was hoping to get some advice on its authenticity. I think it's a fake, but want to be sure so I don't put up a counterfeit on eBay. Thanks!

Horrible redial, movement very dirty, only worth gold value. I would search something else.

I don't think it's fake, per se. The dial has been poorly redone but the rest appears real. The value is in the 18k case.

I understand that re-dials were common back in the day.
But how did some of these pass as even being remotely good?
If I got this watch back after having a re-dial I would be PISSED!
Or was this just more accepted back then?

As noted above, it's not fake, just a poorly repainted dial, incorrect hands, and a movement with bad rotor-rub.

Edit, oops, was eating toast and talking while reading the thread. Didn’t mean to post anything 😝

My toast is getting cold...
