Looking at just the dial, do you think it refinished? I don't.

I'm no Cosmic expert, so I don't really have a strong opinion. It's an interest example though, as there are several interpretations that could be placed on it. Perhaps some experts will chime ne...

For what it's worth, I feel the dial is original, and the hands have been replaced. Just a non-expert opinion. I don't know what happened to the lume dots, but the quality of the printing on the dial is very high. I tend to think that the original hands were the type where part of the length had onyx inlay and part of the length was filled with lume. Here are some similar examples.

Good research, Dan! You may be correct, though it is odd that there would be no apparent traces of original lume on the dial.

The examples that you show are an interesting "hybrid" of black inserts and lume.

I agree, I looked really closely for some residue of lume dots on the dial, but I can't see anything.

I'm also convinced that the dial is original and not refinished. The hands on the other hand look like replacement. I had this Cosmic below and the white hands are original.

That is why (I assume) that who ever replaced the hands was trying to keep them as close as possible to the old white ones.

Look closely at the 12, 6 and 9 markers and the adjacent minute markers. Also the markers adjacent to the date window. The all appear to be slightly off.

Speaking of which, where is our OP @shimpa?

My vote is for original dial and replaced hands. A movement shot will highlight whether the patina is moisture related.
