Is this dial original?

Hello,

I've found an omega seamaster vintage watch with cal 500, the caliber seems to be original but I can't find the same dial on the Internet is it original? The seller claims that the watch is from 1950s.

There where so many dial variations on such models back then. For me it looks ok.

But there are no pictures of the exact same dial or exact model of this omega, it's strange somehow.

I believe the dial is original.

But the crystal is wrong for this watch as well as the crown. I also would expect gold hands in combination with this dial.

What reference is on the inside of the caseback?

Sorry guys but I have doubts, look at "Automatic", I think it's a redial but wait for the specialist...

Edit: Quite polished also would be careful with this one

I would want a better photo, especially the Seamaster

Maybe it is just me but that is a clear redial.

Look at the T and O of automatic. It looks to have been drawn on with a sharpie pen.

My thoughts also. The Automatic is a mess and just compare the two "a"s in Seamaster.

the lettering in the word "Automatic" is all over the place i would say its a redial for sure.

I'm not at all convinced that it is a redial. In fact, I'd say that it is likely to be original.

When photos are taken at an angle, such as the OP's, the crystal can distort the view of lettering. In any case, I think that a head-on shot would be necessary in order to make any fine judgement.

Yes, looks odd, but I think it's just coming from the crystal.

Agreed crystals can distort but the two Ts don’t look the same and the first T looks raised

Given that all I think its unlikely that it is no redial...

I'm voting original and the hands as well. Lume on the dial and hands match nicely and hands are known to age differently than the applied figures. Minute track lines up with the uncommon applied figures as well, with SWISS MADE positioned correctly too.

I will be voting the same as soon as you can show a comparable genuine watch to us.

I have not seen an original Omega watch with hands and furniture in different tone/color like that.

Unfortunately our voting will not establish verification one way or the other. I know what @mac_omega and Gator would to say:
I want better photos with the crystal removed and sharp close-up details. I am with them on this . Nothing above decides this.
Oh and, the hands are iffy 😁

The As and the Ts in Automatic do not match. The U looks too big and the C looks too small. That may just be dirt on the dial but it also looks suspiciously like overpainted rust. The hands are wrong, the case is polished and the crown is a replacement. How much more information could anyone ask for?
