Yeah, gold plated watches always give me the willies, especially when the base metal starts showing through.

I love this. If you put a hinge on it, and hang it vertically, you'll have a cool door knocker. With the watch on it, it replaces a desk clock, and serves as a paperweight too--so many uses!--I don't think it slices and dices, though. Reminds me of Thing (from the Addams Family) without his box.

I’d be a lot more worried if it ended with a suction-cup

Wearing cotton gloves while showing a watch is creepy. What are they hiding? Leprosy, warts, bad cuticles?

Off the scale creepy! There is a Beverly Hills dealer that does these in a pinkish glow that makes it even worse.

Creepy yes, but it would be worse if this was an advertisement for a chainsaw

There’s a seller on Etsy that photographs all their products on lace doilies....leading me to the only obvious conclusion: their house is haunted by cannibalistic dolls

Edit: stupid auto-correct 😒

Would also make for a great watch winder! haha

You've got to hand it to them , I'm usually all fingers & thumbs when it comes modelling watches .

I’m thinking of asking the seller if he’s open to just selling the hand.

I've heard he won't sell it , someone said he was too tight fisted to part with it .

Just ordered one of these for my future sales posts

You’ll be able to double wrist just like at those Hodinkee GTGs.

Do you think the seller will take a back hander ?

What was first posted as a quick laugh, has since become a serious consideration.

I see several benefits to this watch-modeling tool.

First, there’s the comedy of it.

Second, for any watch modeled on this watch modeling tool, should anything later be discovered as problematic about the watch, I’d think it fair to say such problems were plainly described (or at least signaled) in the listing.

Third, surely once you have such a tool around the house, you inevitably find it has other uses you didn’t at first first anticipate - which only enhances the value of the purchase

I've got to hand it to you, I hadn't thought of it like that .

Sorry for the newbie questions, but how would all these work if I want to sell head only ?
Should I always give the option to take it with a strap on ?
