Is this an original dial?

Hi OFers,

Somebody has offered me a really nice vintage Omega Seamaster as a trade-in. It's a lovely watch, and as far as I can tell everything is original and as it should be, but i'd love a second opinion. I'm mainly curious about the dial, as far as I can tell it's not a redial, do you agree? I've added other pictures as well, if you notice anything else please let me know

Thanks for any assistance!

The resolution is not high enough to say for certain, but from what I can see it looks good.

It looks good to me too. The next issue is the price/valuation.

Thanks for the info! Yes, valuation is also a bit challenging. I was thinking €600 or so, is that correct?

I’m not 'dibsing' but I’d certainly be very tempted at €600

Hi Grant. In my opinion a good deal for 600€, as the dial looks very clean (better pics would be better though), the case has scratches but is sharp, and the hands seem to be in good shape. The scalloped crown is also nice (and correct, if I am not mistaken).

An enhanced pic of the OP:

The ref is a 14701 and I find the valuation extremely fair as the condition is very good

Thanks for the feedback all! I'll talk to the seller and I might go a bit higher than €600,- based on your advice.

Everything is correct, dial is immaculate and the case lines are very sharp. It is a lovely watch. If I could do things over, I would have bought half as many watches at 2x the price to have a smaller collection of really nice watches.

Same here. We even have the same constellation (168.001) he's interested in I believe.

Did he lowball you as well? Haha

Yup. Also for my Pie Pan. He wanted to pay like 1600-1700 (with a value of 6-700 for his seamaster) for my 168.001 including BoR bracelet in good condition. For my Pie Pan with BoR bracelet he offered 1100-1200

He ended up asking my advice on buying your watch after first wanting to buy my watch for an absurd price. One of the more interesting potential deals I have had anyways!
