Hi all. I'm new in this Forum but I frecuently read your interesting comments and advices.
Please help me decide to keep or sale.
Recently I bought for $4.5 K a vintage 145 012 67 Speedmaster.
Althought I'm not an expert, I checked that it had at least a decent lunette with the dot over nine, Stepped dial, Applied Logo, correct 24 dent crown, correct pushers and the hippocampus engraved behind plus the obvious 321 cal functioning correctly and 26xxxx series
My hesitation is that it was polished; althought not deforming chamfers but they made the case a little more brightly than it should be including it's Mexican Holzer or Joskes bracelet plus a tiny paint restore in an original seconds hand in tje subdial.
Because of those two things, sometimes it doesn't ends to catch my total love but on the other hand, I think it's in decent shape for it's age and I should be more grateful of having it instead of being a picky snob ha ha ha
What do you think? I appreciate your comments very much in advance.
Best regards

Just enjoy it as is. Next one you might find something else that irks.

That results in a never ending buy and sell pattern

Agree with above. It has a consistent vintage Speedy look. I think you did well. Wear with a smile. It may not be the last one but it is the first and should be worn happily .

Thank you for your responses. I think sometimes I get carried away by the pursue of " perfection" in Vintage watches and specially about the "Sin" of polishing.
This keeps its chamfers perhaps not as crisp as it should be, but at least those are not erased or deformed.
Thanks again for your comments thathelp me appreciate it more.
Best Regards.

It's all down to emotion and personal preference. After a while, you will know if the watch is giving you joy or not.

And if you don't love it, maybe it's not the example, but the model. This forum tends to be Speedmaster-crazy, but they're not for everyone. Omega hypes them like crazy, but I have to admit that they have become less interesting to me over time.
