Dial is a complete fantasy, not original.

Watch may have been in the family since ‘66 but that dial hasn’t. If the seller is from the Far East- then even the story is probably a lie- these are very common redials and sadly sacrificed what could have been a nice watch.

Hi, for my education can you highlight the (obvious to you guys) issues. I haqve messaged the seller (Ireland) who maintains its definately the original dial as purchased in 1966. heres a link to the ebay listing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283642339343?ul_noapp=true

Its a very long learning curve but you have to start somewhere 😀

Here’s the loophole: the dial might be original, but the paint is definitely not

The color, for one thing.

That's chutzpah.

To my untrained eye, is the bezel missing? Notice big gap between lugs and crystal.

No, it’s there, just polished down to a rounded blob

As mentioned. Dial design is not original nor is the color. If the caseback was off. You could see the reference number and match it up to other examples to see what it originally looked like.

Avoid. Especially at that ridiculous. It's a fantasy like that dial

DON

Further add

I also think the bezel might be missing. Just doesn't look right
