I've always wanted a vintage Yema Yachtingraf, especially the Type 4 or Type 5 with three subdials. I'm captivated by what is an otherwise clean design aesthetic offset by an asymmetrical pop of color on the counters. And what's not to love about the oversized chronograph hand and countdown bezel. Powered by a Valjoux 7736 it's a solid watch.

Prices have continued to rise on these. As I'm sure a lot of you can relate, I should have bought it sooner. In my ongoing hunt for a good example I stumbled on this:

    Renis1.jpg

Ultimately, it went for much more than I was hoping or anticipating. I couldn't justify the price. For me, it was a compromise since it was a Renis and not a Yema. I kind of want the brand association.

But to the heart of my post and question: Is this Renis a fake (knock off, ripoff, etc) Yema Yachtingraf?

And my follow up question (maybe better suited for WUS but whatever): What makes this any different than Steinhart?

    Cheers!

Not sure if it's fake or not, but love the colors on those.
