Is this 165.010 black crosshair a redial?

Hi,

This is up for sale on Yahoo auctions Japan. I have never seen this reference with black dial.

To me following things point to redial, but neither is a giveaway itself:
* So rare that not even google finds similar watches.
* Obviously refinished watch (stated in the auction).
* Dodgy origin (auction site).
* No tritium (easy to redial).
* The crosshair goes beyond the applied index (but I have seen this one white dial variants, too).
* Too clean.

I would guess that if the Seller says it's refinished, then it is refinished.

Maybe I misinterpreted your question

The watch is refinished, but is it a redial? Unfortunately, I can't read japanese and google translator says "redundant" for the dial.

In other words, were there ever 165.010 in this configuration?

Refinished = Redial

And I would guess it came from the factory white and no crosshair

All the above from @TexOmega but, nonetheless, unless you’re dead set on originality, it’s a pretty watch with a good movement and a nice case and you might get a lot of pleasure from wearing it.

At least, the crown is original (and difficult to find).

I own the date version 166.010, so my guess would be they do exist with black dial and crosshair.
This one however does look redialled imo.
