Is there a list of all abbreviations you are using here in the OF ?
What's a shortening ?
If it's a abbreviations yes there is a thread somewhere.
On boy, I finally get to learn what IIRC and GWIS means Unless we are talking about Crisco Which would also be interesting I guess
Yes i meant abbreviations
There are a few watch-specific abbreviations (e.g. DON), but most are generic internet forum lingo (OP, etc.), and Google is helpful for the latter.
Glad you clarified. I was about to provide a list of all the fry shortenings I sell.
Ok, not relevant to OF, but on Chronotrader - what the heck does *NM* mean?
RTFM. GTFO. LOL. JK. HAGD.
I used to make em! I was tempted too!
Never mind or New Mexico, depending on the context.
I'm here for years and I still dont have a clue what people are talking about
NM would be "near mint"
Often meaning the watch is well used, but polished back (and beyond) its original condition
Weird, because the scam catcher guy usually ends his titles with it.
Also people will use it when sold... So I don't think any of those work
No Message. Used at the end of a, hopefully, self explanatory post title. Saves the reader opening the post to find nothing more.
Ahhhhh. My brain thanks you.
I would argue that "never mind" is abbriviated as NVM.
And for clarity, NOS means that I am lying but would still appreciate selling my watch for a lot of profit.
Separate names with a comma.
