Have the chance to pick one up nearly £1000 cheaper

I like the tapered bracelet and lightness but obviously I’d love the Spectre watch instead as the dial is better imho. Thoughts on those that own one…

Can you post a picture of the one you’re considering as there are several versions.
Personally I prefer the first model (below). The latest ones don’t do it for me.

Completely new - AD providing 15-17% discount

The model is the one with the lollipop hands.

I’m just not sure about the faux patina on the bezel. Prefer the white numbers but then love the lollipop hands!

It's a no brainer with that discount then. Could even pass it on at minimal or no loss at all if you regret it.

Had the older 300 MC and sold it for the new 300 heritage, so I can speak to my reasons why. While I agree that the older dial was more attractive, I prefer everything else about the watch. And the new dial is still attractive and the “fauxtina” look on the sandwich numbers is not as bad in person as it looks in pictures.

The case is a little slimmer and the bracelet is excellent. I never liked the 300MC bracelet. It was just too chunky on my wrist and after a few weeks, I would swap it out for a strap or NATO. But the new bracelet is about as perfect as any Omega has produced — don’t think I will ever wear this on anything else! Overall, the 300 Heritage is a far more comfortable watch to wear (at least for me).

I also like the newer bezel — the matte look really fits the aesthetics of the watch and the bezel marking are a lot easier to see in all light. The older bezel was lovely, just more blingy with the polished, high-gloss ceramic insert and LiquidMetal markers.

The Spectre version is essentially a 300MC with a different bezel, dial, and seconds hand. It is also about 2-3 times the price of the 300 Heritage in today’s market. I think the 300 Heritage is a better watch for daily wear.

For what its worth.... I absolutely love my 300 Heritage. Best purchase.

Prior to buying it, I was constantly looking to add to my Seamaster Agua Terra GMT...

Now, Im done... I can't imagine gettin anything else.

So I don’t mind the fauxtina on my NTTD because overall the watch is special. It hits all the right retro notes. I’ve tried the 300 heritage in twice now. It’s very light, the bracelet is tapered (finally) but there’s something just putting me off. I need to think hard about it. Thanks for all the advice - as for the spectre, you’re right - nothing but a bezel change. Wonder if Omega change bezels like Rolex do, because the spectre one essentially works as a GMT.

Ok, so, after my AG-GMT, I couldn't stop looking... IWC, Tudor, Rolex, and more Omega....

After the 300 Heritage.... Ya, now I look, but, now I look with the feeling of Joe Dirt when he is looking at the Auto Trader...

Fantastic watch and incredibly comfortable. The sandwich just dial never grew on me, so I'm letting mine go to (hopefully) get a next gen Planet Ocean in 2023.

It’s one of the best-looking watches Omega has in its catalog at the moment I believe. However, when I try it in the boutique it didn't fit my wrist well. It was the same with Speedmaster Chronoscope. I liked it very much but the feeling on my wrist was completely different. So if it made you feel good, go for that. If not better not to spend your money.

I didn’t go ahead with it. It’s a gorgeous watch but better to hold out and see what new 007 60th edition drops instead. Omega’s flagship London store is under renovation at the moment and relaunches this week or next. So let’s see what the god of horology delivers.
