Whats a good/fair price range for Seamaster 300 Heritage models as they age? The RRP is £6700, so I’d expect 20% VAT off for any 2024 model, leaving ~5400, then £500 off per year older?

2024 = 5400?
2023 = 4900 ?
2022 = 4400 ?

Watches don’t depreciate like cars. A used watch sells for a discount (or rarely a premium) compared to a new one, but they generally don’t depreciate based on age. Overall condition and desirability in the market are the driving factors once a watch is no longer new.

Yea spot on, they’re all effectively considered the same if they’re of a given reference and even date of sale doesn’t mean much as in some cases they can sit in the dealer network for years before they’re bought. Condition is above all the key, and if you’re planning on wearing it and getting scratches of your own on it, getting a discount on one with a scuffed up clasp is a rather good approach since you can put the savings towards the first service in a few years anyway.
