Is the original Omega Planet Ocean LM LE better?

Hello Fellas,

I have owned the regular 2201.50 which is the original 2500 planet ocean a few times and while I liked it, I noticed I had to be very careful wearing it as the aluminum bezel scratched easy.

For the ones who own the Limited Edition Planet Ocean LM with the 2500 movement, does the bezel scratch easy?. I know it’s ceramic and supposed to be very hard to scratch but I would appreciate hearing from actual owners. Thanks!

Ceramic bezels in general are NEARLY scratch proof. Mine isn’t the LMLE but it still has a ceramic bezel. I’ve had two PO with ceramic bezels and they’ve been great.

The title of the thread was misleading for me. I thought you wanted to know if the PO LM LE is better.

In a way I do. I wanted to know if it holds up better to wear than the regular PO 2500.

I have the Blue titanium and I wear my daily for almost 1.5 years. Only taken off to do yard work or work on my vehicle. Bezel is perfect still

That's a worryingly low price for that model, bearing in mind all the others I've seen are almost twice that amount.
I owned one and sold it, because I prefer the original, less bling, but the pics do look genuine article. Not even 4K, I'd snap that up if it's a gen article yes. You can't click on those shots to enlarge though can you? Ask for better shots if you can

It’s a little lower for sure but I’ve seen a couple around $5500 so it’s not too much lower. Looks like the real deal to me plus I’m protected by eBay I guess if it isn’t. I had the original too and liked it a lot but the rarity and bling of this one has me wanting one 😀

It's a lovely watch, and I still have the original 2500PO but didn't bond with the LMLE, thought it always looked amazing in pics, but not always in the metal, if you are protected online by eBay, then go for it, because the other well known watch selling sites are selling that model for far more than that, but try and get some better close ups first

I understand. The regular PO is beautiful also. Can’t go wrong with either one. He sent me a whole bunch of pics. When I asked him why he was selling cheaper, he said that there are a few scratches on the AR coating and it’s missing the warranty card. Also I’m guessing it will need servicing soon since it’s a 2010 model. Would you look for a more complete and cleaner set or do you think it’s fine?. Thanks

In Casino Royale, Vesper asks of Bond's Planet Ocean, "Is it a Rolex?" Bond, "No, its an Omeega." Vesper, "Beautiful!"

What about a regular 2500 PO with the matte dial and the LM ceramic bezel? Not for purists but loving the combo! 😀

I love the LMLE, and am thinking about a non-LE 2500D-based PO. How's the bezel action on these?
