Is the distance to the clasp normal?

Good evening! I looked more closely at my omega, and I was curious, if this space is normal to exist, the space surrounded by me.

Yes, I think it is normal. I have a 2551.80 and the bracelet looks the same.

Thanks! I have the same reference code. Can you tell me please or post some pictures if this gap remains with you when the crown is tight?

No problem. I can post a couple of pics so you can compare. Apologies if the pics aren't great as I don't have a macro mode on my phone camera.

The best way to tell if your crown is correctly screwed down all the way is to turn your watch over and check to see if the crown is seated tight against the case, as in the bottom picture. If you've screwed down the crown completely and you can still see a gap, then I'd suggest that you take your watch to a watchmaker and get it checked, especially if you're intending to dive with it. Hope this helps you.

In your opinion, how do you think it is crowned? It's ok? I mention that it is tightened to the maximum.

When enlarged, a couple of your pics do show the tiniest of gaps between the crown and case. As I said earlier, if you have any doubts just take it to a watchmaker and get it checked and pressure tested to ensure its water resistance. If you bought this watch second hand and it has an unknown service history, then it is most likely due a service. That would be the perfect time to get everything checked out.

The idea is that I bought it recently, and the ad says it is serviced .. now I don't know how to proceed ..

Sorry to hear but I don't think I have much more to add on this topic. If you want to keep the watch, then just get it checked out. Otherwise, if you want to return it then that's up to you to negotiate with the seller. If you want evidence of a recent service, then again you have to ask the seller. Good luck and I hope that this issue is resolved to your satisfaction.

I'll take him for a check to a watchmaker, thank you. Do you have any idea how much a revision costs?

Sorry, I don't. But maybe others on this forum might be able to help you.

I honestly think you are worrying needlessly. From your photos the crown looks like it's screwed down to the case like it should be.

I agree. That looks perfectly fine. All of the sealing is on the inside and a slight gap would be expected there.

I'm very careful with my omega because it's my first real watch in the top class. I received it as a gift from my parents for turning 18 and I cherish it very much, this watch was like a dream for me. I just want to make sure it's perfect from a functional standpoint, thank you.

are you going to dive or swim with it? I'm not diving with any of my omegas again, I have a dedicated wrist computer better suited for such things.
My smp300 is close but not touching the case either (like a hair off) but it was serviced and pressure tested so I'm not worried about it.

And yours has that short distance?

Your watch is fine - nothing wrong with this.

Thank you all for your help! Now I'm relieved if you say it's okay. I'm a perfectionist and I don't like my things to be flawed 😀
