A way to add adjustment to the Milanese mesh bracelet?

I was thinking, does anything like this exist to allow for adjustment of the mesh bracelet? It's well known that if you're between two holes, there's not much that can be done to help the fit.

I had this random thought and drew it in Photoshop. But basically an extra flat link that you could connect between the lugs and bracelet, spacing it out a little. What do you guys think, is this possible? Would it help the fit? How does one get something like this made?

That lug extension wouldn't work because the 20mm spacing is the limit of the lug width, so any solution there would be a fatty.

I've always wondered if there's a fit difference by mixing & matching the three lengths of the mesh-- Short, Regular, and Long (e.g. the use of the Long version at 12 o'clock and short at 6). Unfortunately, it's a prohibitively expensive experiment unless you have a friendly AD who can help you try it out.

I found this on eBay. Watch looks fake, or the mesh strap looks like the stainless steel version, but something like this, maybe more refined and in titanium might work? Would add like a few mm.

Well those are sold on Amazon for around $6 (not in titanium) and seems to be meant for a way to use 20mm straps on an 18mm lug width but it completely ruins the look of the watch! I would probably try out aftermarket mesh bracelets or a completely different strap before that.

The best solution would be if a company like Forstner or Uncle Seiko came out with an aftermarket clasp that has modification to the little hatch part allowing microadjust, but the demand for that is probably not worth the R&D.

True. The look is... odd for sure. That one is actually a 20mm to 20mm extension.

Too bad Staib doesn't make their bracelets in titanium. They have a similar looking piece that goes near the clasp.

An update if anyone else out there was going to try this. Don't. It does allow for some adjustments adding the pieces, almost like giving you a fit in between the standard holes. However the pieces can't rotate around the lugs, making it stuck sticking straight out like in the pics. If there are custom pieces in the future it should work, just not these.

This was my solution!
That looks good! How comfortable is it? I stretched my mesh bracelet out and it fits better now, but I wish I could just add like 2-5mm

This is a very unappealing solution. I would rather add a clasp extension.

Extremely comfortable ...as one would expect from a Jubilee style bracelet.
