Is it an Ultraman? Help!

I have this 145.012-67 that is in the serial range for the Ultraman. One thing that makes me unsure is I have seen extracts that say "applied orange hand", and mine does not. I also have the new style extract so I am not sure if they just stopped doing that just because. Talked to the Omega boutique and they have multiple people who have vintage "special editions" and the extracts say nothing about them. There is multiple Speedmasters that have been confirmed after my serial (third photo). Does anybody have any information that can help me make sure it is 100% an Ultraman or not? Thank you in advance.

Well the hand is too short… so not a correct UM hand.

Oh yes so I know the hand is to short. Defiantly the wrong hand but would it be worth finding the correct hand?

Did you buy it as an ultra man or are you speculating based on serial number?

Looks like a std -67 with the wrong hand to me. Did they ask for a pic of the watch when you got the extract?

It would be interesting to put the watch side by side with another std -67 or -68 since there was a suggestion that the UM also had a special darker dial as well as the orange hand. It does look dark in the pic but photos are no real judge.

Yes it was purchased with wrong hand. Only sent a picture of the movement to Omega.

You have a nice -67, but it's not an Ultraman. And even if you found a real Ultraman hand and slapped it on your watch you still don't have an Ultraman.

That is a pity, there is a suggestion (backed up by some evidence though not conclusive) that Omega aren't entirely sure which watches in range were delivered in the UM spec, had you sent a dial pic you may well have had a different outcome...

Alas, that shows why reliance on an Extract to 'prove' this or that feature is not always valid. Omega seems willing to be led to come to a particular conclusion based on photos provided by the owner rather than relying on what is in Omega's records.

There are a few things that make this suspect. The hands have chipped paid, which shows a fair amount of taking on and off. They have no lume. The lume o. Tge dial looks like an older terrible relume job. Can't tell but the hourly sub register hand appears like it might be repainted.

It's not terrible, the dial isn't scratched that i can see and the case looks good from this photo. And you get a bracelet. But it looks like people could have been messing with it. If it had a glossy dial that would help your case but not as is.

If not an UM, still a nice watch depending the price.

Yes Omega said I could have it sent in for the authentication process that is $1000 and then it would for sure say.

Did not pay ultraman price for sure. Purchased mainly on the fact it was in great condition overall

Out of curiosity, what is an Ultra Man?

A Speedmaster with one orange hand. Which origins are somewhat not clear ; some think it's worth a lot , lot of $$$ ; the Factory is somewhat erratic on confirmations; that orange hand is quite long and is faked now in Vietnam. All a bit foggy , but as you know from your Rolex experience, Watch collecting is also about stories.....
