Thanks for the info. Definitely not for me, but someone will enjoy it. If anybody wanted a quart watch they can buy a G shock and have $9.5k to spend on other things.

Of course no feedback on how both Omega X-33 Speedmaster chronographs performed during (& after) the 4 hours long ISS-EVA53 spacewalk on August 17, 2022 ?
It looks like everything really interesting about Omega's space watches remains a Mystery wrapped in a Riddle inside an Enigma !

I don't think other watch companies are taking full payment for an unknown delivery date years in the future.

Agreed. To lock in a $3500 LE Sinn, I only had to plop down $900. It has been a couple of months and I still don't have mine. Out of the 150 units available, only a handful of people have announced they received theirs. I don't anticipate it will be longer than about 6 months before I receive mine (although that is just a feeling, nothing more).

More affordable / practical than the last watch I looked at for a Mars package tour in London with @SpeedyPhill - So it is a 👍 from me.

I like it but I can tell you this much from my personally experience. Omega will never see another penny from me till I receive the Snoopy that I paid for over 2 years ago now. The Whole Snoopy experience has turned me off the brand so much its not even funny. Rolex plays games as well but they dont take your money for 2 years without a single word on when to expect the watch.

But you must still want it if you haven’t asked for your money back…..plenty of people in the same boat 😉

Two positive impressions (after my snarky comments). The color scheme is tasteful. Second, it's applaudable for a company to create a specific tool watch that will be used for the current space program, even if it's mainly useful for Earth bound scientists. What other brand can say this?

If you're the intended audience, a scientist working on the Mars mission, I would imagine you're happy (especially if you don’t have to buy it yourself.) As a space or speedmaster enthusiast, i can say well done, just a hard sell for me.

The hype train is waiting for passengers. Plenty of seats available.

Question, is this the last Speedmaster for the year, or will they have something for the 50th anniversary of the last man on the moon?
I'm still waiting on the new PloProf. I still have high hopes! 😀. But, I don't think we are down & out for the last Speedy...not yet!

The good news is that it’s worth it…

Back on topic, I like this more the more I see it. Not sure I’d be interested in it at MSRP =but would like to see it in the metal. It’s a nice update of a sometimes awkward design IMO.

If I’m spending mega dosh to time the day of a planet I will never get to visit, then I might as well add a zero or two and go full out on something really novel and equally (or arguably a touch more) sexy …

🥰🥰🥰 to both though …

Is the bezel colored in red, or the color is somehow part of the material like the ceramic ones?

RJ does mention in the video that the watch will become the watch used by ESA astronauts on the ISS. Will be interesting to see how quickly one shows up onboard ISS.

It would be nice if they would retrofit the new movement into the G3 case. Even without the trim package, it would be fun to formally experience (accurately) the time on Mars. Just don't call me a geek 😀
