Perhaps also a Benrus Milsub presence- those watches actually meet the very definition of the term.

I find it odd that this Kiger guy gets qualified as the hero against the villain, he basically builds a submariner hommage watch (*cough “copy” *cough), invents the Tag Heuer logo to say Kiger, trademarks a rather commonly used term associated with well known watch names, and has some sort of journalist write a story about his fights...
Shady practice on all acounts really

for a most part, a +1 here

are people so accepting of the guy who trademarked “NATO”?

seems that should face genericide, too

I think I used to buy straps from the NATO guy. Ironically, NOT NATO straps.

Quoting from the Article, I guess this settles once and for all who makes the best and *first* real diver (Blancpain).

Having a bezel that is easy to grip is key in any real diver watch and is one of my complains with the current Omega Semaster and its scalloped bezel.

Interesting to me, that we read Rolex isn't trying to trademark this term "Mil Sub" in any other country. My thought is the term "Mil Sub" is too generic too even have a trademark. Perhaps in the US , where someone already has trademarked the term "Mil Sub", the Rolex petition could get the trademark nullified as being generic and then they could make their "Milsub" Tudors or whatever it is they have in mind without any trademark infringements in any country.

One of the things I love about this forum is that no one is giving themselves an aneurysm over the US Navy finding Rolex's offering to of unacceptable quality and utility.

I actually relish in it-

Suck my Seawolf, Rolex!

It’s been said elsewhere (and nothing to do with trademarks), but IMO a milsub is a Rolex military submariner. Collector usage for other military dive watches is just lazy and wrong 😗
