If anyone is looking for an honest vintage seamaster then this bumper deserves a look-see. We are not at all involved in this sale but the seller is a long-standing respectable member there.

It's 70+ years old so what you call "heavily polished" might actually be wear from use, and the dial looks fine to me. So...that is what I find interesting. The seller also didn't sand down the case and case back or call it a "calatrava" so that's kind of reassuring.

Case in poor condition and very tired dial. I wouldn't call it "interesting"

Oh man there are some negative nancys on this forum today. I found the watch pleasant looking and interesting and surely there might be others that don't mind looking at it. As the years tick by these oldies are not going to be all that plentiful in pristine condition but they are still enjoyable 😁

The lugs are much thinner than this reference should have, compare it to other Seamaster jumbo models from early 50s and you shall see what I mean.
They also look uneven, looks like top right is thinner than bottom for example.

Don’t think I have ever seen original dial with text like this, but if you have please share 😀

I have seen some of your own listings. Have you ever heard the saying "people who live in glass houses don't throw stones"? Like I mentioned, at least it wasn't obviously hit with sand paper or called a "calatrava"...

I Don’t see what my listings has to do with this? 😀

You start a thread to recomending a interesting watch, but I don’t understand what is interesting about it since its a very bad example of a not very uncommon model.
Usualy an interested watch on a entusiast forum is either a very good example or a rare model/configuration or both, a watch with some history or anything else that makes it stand out.

The irony is off the scale. Your standards are quite flexible it seems.

Obviously not the same reference, and also obviously not the best condition dial, but a very similar style font on the dial so perhaps useful for comparison.

If any of my listings are wrong please share, if I have stated that any of my watches are original when redialed or untouched when clearly polished I surely would like to know!

Or if there is anything else in my listings that has something to do with the discussion of this thread I am open to discuss it?

I have a Seamaster where the "Seamaster" was added after the other printing in a different color ink and people insist redial and I insist not... because what redialer would use two different color inks?

The "Seamaster" of this example was probably added as well.

I may be jumping the gun but with anticipation of things getting out of hand I’d like to drop the first cat pic.

You very well understand my point. A quick look at your offerings proves it. The listing for this watch wasn't wrong either, just your reaction my friend.

I honestly don’t understand but since you don’t want to discuss the watch you started this thread for or the statements you make against my listings I don’t see any meaning to continue.

That tale rang a bell so I took a look and here it is being told before:

the relevant quote:

“I have a dial on a Seamaster where some printing was added after the fact. It's clear to me that the above dial was printed all at once. I think your theory has merit.

I wondered where you got to.

It was clear that skunkprince had been here before. Were you banned or did you just decide to reinvent yourself?

I indeed have been discussing the watch in this thread as have others, and since you insist then ok I will discuss one of your listings. One of your listings features a watch that obviously lost a fight with a piece of sand paper on it's case back and you call it a "calatrava" when clearly it's not a Patek. Remember...you asked.

Reinvent. There were people being automatically nasty based on the name. I suppose that'll start happening again now that you've outed me.
