As above. What's that all about - I see it when looking in the watches for sale section - "You have insufficient privileges to reply here". Not looking to sell anything but how do I get these 'privileges'?

I think it is 200 posts, though I have seen posters in there with less. I think those users seek permission from the moderators.

I can understand the reasoning behind it - to prevent new members joining up just to flog a watch, but not being able to reply prevents new (or sub 200 post) members from asking questions and buying from that section doesn't it?

 

No it doesn't. You can contact the seller by private message.

I was a zero or low post count buyer on this forum and just used PM. I found this forum searching for Omega, lurked for a long time and then joined specifically so I could send PM's to sellers. Now I hang around because this forum has a much better vibe than the bigger one I belong to.

 

The vibe and knowledge here is certainly grand!
