Friends, I inherited this Seamaster probably from the 1950s or 60s which belonged to my great grandfather. I was hoping you would help me identify the model, caliber, case material, crystal, and share impressions and recommendations. Thanks.

oh baby! I want it!

all I would do is replace the paperclip with a spring bar and leave the watch as-found. 馃榾

Please take the watch to a qualified watchmaker and bring a camera. Post some pictures. Then we can help.

Omega made hundreds of models marked Seamaster.

That was my idea as well. Nice watch!

Bracelet appears to be a replacement although is very similar in style to those offered back then.

Thank you all. This is an amazing community. I have to say that when they gave me the watch it had been more than 40 years abandoned in an old closet in grandma's house. When I took it out it suddenly started moving after its long sleep as if my great grandfather had just left it there a few days before. I placed it in my ear and realized that almost half a century before it was the old man who heard that exact heart beat I was enjoying.

I'll service it and share more pictures. Thanks and happy 2020!
