Hi all, as you know I am new to the forum and posted 3 Omegas recently inherited, as this is a general thread and many on this forum are watch experts
@DaveParkes Congratulations on the inheritance. Can you post clearer photos of the dials of these watches? It’s difficult to tell what you have there. Thanks!
Just loading some more up, grateful if anyone has a rough idea of the value of the Certina watch, I have been asked how much I want for it but have no idea if it’s value... thanks again for all the advice from this forum and certainly won’t be buying a Ferrari
The Sekonda is a Soviet Watch made for export. A related model was used in space. See: https://omegaforums.net/threads/post-your-russian-vintage-watches.61117/page-4#post-1557496 People would be interested in buying it, but they are not overly valuable. They used to be the go to bargain chronograph, but now that role is being filled by the Seagull chronos.
Certainly an eclectic collection. The Rolex, assuming that it is genuine, would be the most valuable. The Movado would be next, though one hand has been re-lumed, which impacts its value a bit.
The Sicura is a cool off-brand diver that looks to be in Good shape. @JwRosenthal is one of our resident experts on such watches. It is hard to put a value on a watch based on one picture. Subtle things can make a big difference.
Thanks all for the advice, the collection is being appraised via a specialist watch auctioneer in Cambridge England, I will update you all on the feedback. I am keeping the Seamaster and the Seconda as I like the history.
