Inherited a vintage Omega Seamaster calendar

Just a crude estimate off the top of my head $800-$1500 USD, assuming the dial is free of blemishes and the movement is in working order. If you plan to wear it, you will want to have it serviced by an independent watchmaker with an Omega parts account. You can find recommendations here. A watchmaker can open it for you so you can get the reference number off the inside caseback. For the record, I think it is a beautiful watch. The gold and black dial are a great combination. I love the arrowhead hour markers as well.
Thank you

From the font of all knowledge (and I don't mean Wikipedia):

Wish I had the original box and papers the watch came with. But I'm happy to have this family heirloom

Thank you

I passed on your message to the author, and this was the response. Sounds almost human. 馃え

Beauty. Looks like a case ref 2849.

I actually like the date magnifier here -- the circular shape is kind of cool. And if you find it bothersome, you can probably have it replaced at a reasonable cost.

Appears original dial with FACTORY LUME PKG(which includes also a different set of hands).

Very desirable dial and most uncommon

This era the black dial was special order and of course, the Lume Pkg was too.

No, I do like the magnifier, gives it character and it functions well

Thanks, it is very appealing to the eye. I'm use to wearing sport watches 42mm and larger. So this size is unusual, but I hear smaller case sizes are making a come back

All the cool kids are wearing smaller cases. Big cases are for guys trying to compensate. 馃槈

I noticed a very similar watch on Ebay. It has crappy pictures and the condition does not appear to be as good as yours. The auction ends today. That should give you a lower estimate of your value.

That's in pretty good shape.

I agree. Shockingly low price.

The pictures were crappy, but seller stated it had an original black dial. With Ebay buyer protection you could get your money back if it turned out to be a redial.

Times have changed....

NOT an Omega, but I have a 14K Concord Moon Phase I bought brand new in 1987. It's a beautiful watch in great condition. I thought I'd sell it as I rarely, if ever, wear it. Why? It's 34 mm and feels like you're wearing a 'dime' on your wrist. Sales interest? None. As in, zero. My watch tastes have certainly changed too. I guess it's in my collection for my personal appreciation. That's cool I suppose.

It's my late dad's watch, also inherited a constellation all steel pie pan 168.010 as well

First of all, sorry for your loss if it was recent.

Pictures of your Constellation would be good if you haven't posted them elsewhere.

(Probably best to open a new thread in the Vintage Omega section)

Very nice.
And the uncommon 19mm end link BOR is a nice bonus.
