We don't have Independence Day (always been independent, since Roman times at least) but today it's our Constitution Day, a national holiday.

The most interesting ritual is to watch TV for hours in the evening. From the TV everyone can watch the big party organized by the President of Finland. 1700 guests (politicians, local celebrities etc.) and President with his spouse are shaking hands for hours and Finnish people are watching this ritual...
