amazing piece.

it seems like it's harder to find no date models in the vintage world w/o emptying the wallet more so

could this scratch the omega trilogy rail/seamaster itch?
Thanks, I have to say I am smitten.
This one does scratch the itch for me at the moment. I actually have always wanted an early SM300 but until I come into a windfall, this will do. The quality of the watch is impressive, and the size is spot on at 37mm.

Tradition made some good stuff. Some of their divers get very positive reviews. I like some of their chronographs. Here’s mine.

Thought I would just update- brought the Tradition to my guy for a look-over. Said it had been recently serviced, was very clean, seals were all fresh including the double sealed crown. It was running at 16/s and he adjusted it to within 3 sec. polished the crystal and cleaned out some of the funk under the crystal. his comment- this is a very well made watch.

Feel like a got a nice deal on this one

Hello, I'm the one who sold you this watch. It still looks fantastic and I'm glad that you're enjoying it. Was a fun pickup that I enjoyed for a couple of years before moving it on for something else. Certainly an uncommon piece.

At first I was like, "ugh, who's this necromancer?" and then I realized it's yet another whimsical connection being made on this fantastic forum.

Exactly, Google search almost any watch, and OF usually pops up. Let’s see if we can help our new friend Anthony spend his hard earned money on more watches.

I always wanted to see it on a bracelet. While I'm a fan of Tropic's, the 18mm wore a bit small and sweaty. Looks great! I have a feeling I may never come across another one in as good of shape as this, but that's ok because I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it.

It’s a great watch and scratched an early Seamaster 300 itch for me. Hope you stick around and join the part here.

Yesterday this guy popped up-

The things that stick out to me, besides the dial design, is the “Switzerland” instead of “Swiss Made” and the “T < 25mc” which I have never seen on anything other than a Rolex.
Can anyone shed any light on who may have possibly made this watch by the case or dial design? And does anyone have another one like it- Even from a different brand but with the same case & dial?

Very nice skin diver! I bough a Rodania diver that is similar to a SM 300 recently and your watch reminded me of something I stumbled upon during my research. I think it's quite similar to this Rodania Superwaterproof:

That Tradition is really cool. Interesting dial too with the long indices and shorter hour hand -- in a way reminds me of the Mido Decompression/Rainbow diver too. Really enjoying the talk about suppliers/manufacturers on this thread as well as there seems to be a lot of similarities in the designs. I too am after one of these and found an Onix very similar to the Rodania above (pic from the Internet) but was to slow to pull the trigger. Looks like the dial is quite similar!

It’s really amazing how little information is out there on the actual makers of these spec parts (dials/cases/hands) and who the makers/ contractors were that would assemble and brand them for the resellers. We have to assume that the buyers for these national chain stores were choosing designs from common catalogs…where are those?

Would love to see such a catalog. There are so many "stock" cases and dials that floated around in the 60's and 70's. Along with that a lot of non-descript or generic sounding names from very insignificant brands. I suspect a lot of these were mail-order type brands.

I always joke about the watches from one of the many Paul’s. Give it a European sounding name and it must be fancy!

Yes! The Paul's, hilarious. If "Paul" is too fancy, you can always go with "Pat".

And there we go again! Another dial that was used on a dozen other brands.

Let me guess, your PAT is in a TK case like the Vantage divers.

This is the Rodania that's on the way to me. The dial is also pretty similar to some of the ones above, but the blue dial is what convinced me in the end, because I haven't seen anything similar before. Anyone?

I'm looking at this same watch but with a faded black dial, it's a gorgeous piece. Got a 60's dial with the early 70's stick hands.

Here's a gorgeous Vertex (not mine) that is fairly similar to your Rodania. The lume plots don't seem to extend up to the minute markers, but it's close.
