Hello; As some of you may or may not know, since I joined OF's I have been on the hunt for a pristine vintage Omega Constellation with original black dial...As you all know, this is no mean feat! Well, I think recently "angels" have been looking on me kindly as I managed to persuade CVivash to sell me his one (he had two anyway and was being a bit greedy.. It's a reference 168.005 with a Cal. 561 in 14k Pink Gold. This watch has been rigorously checked by a few people, including Desmond, who, I can't thank enough for his constellation blog which has aided me In finding two or three nice pieces recently...and of course, it would be rude to not mention the forum! Incidentally - It's a good read if you're interested: http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1 Anyway, I'll cut to the chase and post some pictures once again, with the trusty iPhone! As you well know black dials are notorious to shoot, but I gave it my best shot! Hope you enjoy..? Sitting with its gold friend.. I have managed to source a pink gold decagonal crown to finish it off.
Congratulations, i know how hard you've been working to hunt that down, and in brilliant condition....
Thanks! managed to take a few pictures outside today...try and imagine it with a pink gold crown...The dial provides hours of gazing pleasure!
Glad I could help Alex. If anyone is interested in some more pictures I posted a few here. http://omegaforums.net/threads/pink-gold-black-dialled-561-168-005.4518/ Hope you enjoy it.
