I would appreciate the thoughts of the experts and collectors here, but here are my takes on the positive side (ebay link to the watch is above):

-I like the box and paperwork;
-Dial looks nice, seller discloses small scratches but seemingly above average + and I like the date plus 6/9/12 indices that seem to be a rare configuration;
-Movement displays the proper OXG marking for export thus explaining the 14k case (pics are not the best but I think I see hallmarks behind the lugs);
-Some sort of Omega tang that is probably gold fill but better than nothing.

Here are cons:
Case is soft and second hand appears silver instead of gold.

Any input is appreciated and pics will be forthcoming if it passes the ebay

In lieu of photos, above is the listing link to the watch I won last night.

I like the interesting, and well-executed engraving on the case back!

Thanks for pointing the case back out! I think with out the paper work it would be an issue, but the with paper work, my guess is that it was a multiple corporate order. The caseback looks too good to not have had several made and then had the individuals initials engraved after.

Seconds hand doesn't appear to match the configuration. Edit: Oops, you've already called this out.

The second hand is essentially my worry with the whole watch. I am quite curious what ebay authentication says, if anything, about that second hand.

Love the fact the name on the paperwork matches the engraving. Engraving is lovely too, as mentioned already.

Thanks Doc! I feel like the good outweighed the bad on this one. I feel like at $2450 (2200 plus tax) it's a pretty nice, though not spectacular, example of a nice, solid gold (albeit 585 not 750) pie pan connie. The date function is nice for me and I like the 6/9/12 markers as well.
I am excited to get it.

Omega had a special division for corporate awards:

For watches like the Constellation, which had a medallion on the back, Omega made special casebacks for engraving purposes.

I think this one will pass the authentication inspection. If the seconds hand really is silver, a gold replacement shouldn’t be too tough to find. A lot of Omegas from that period used the same hand.

Looks like a pretty nice example.

Hey Gator: Thanks for the advertisement and input! I hope it passes and there is a chance the second hand is gold with bad lighting. Even if it is silver, I am fine with that bc as you stated, a readily available replacement and hand who knows, maybe it was 'born' that way from the corporate order.
I am very excited for it. It's the first omega for me in a loooong time 😀

Not much on any Whitney and relation to WN

I don’t think it has a connection to the entertainer. I found a guy w the same last names obituary that worked for some tech company’s around the same time that kind of lines up w my case back, but I’m sure it’s him and I can’t find anything on that company.

This is awesome!!! Thank you so much. I’ll post tomorrow at work the gentleman whose obit I think may match up with the watch.
Much much appreciated. I plan to print that to keep with the watch.

What’s not to like?

My non-date 167.005 says hello. Also 14K.
