·I haven't seen it in years, but, I do recall what it looked like... a gold bracelet, unusual shaped dial with the word Constellation written above a star (now I know it is called a pie pan dial), wide hands, large gold triangular markers and a date window.
I don't have the actual picture of my Dad's watch as we haven't been able to find it. But, I recall it looking like the image I have posted on this thread. Now, do the facts line up, my Dad was given the watch as a gift by his father in celebration of my Father's wedding to my Mother in the 1950s. Dad only wore the watch on dress occasions and I remember he kept it in a long slim watch box. After the 1980's my Dad didn't seem to wear the watch anymore. Dad favored sports watches and seldom put on a dress watch. I know he never sold the Constellation, it had too much sentimental value. My sisters and I just don't know where he put it for safe keeping. Dad was a child of the Great Depression, and didn't always trust banks, so he'd find unusual hiding places in the house, under the house, in the attic, in the garage, under a floor board. We are still looking... and if I find it I will definitely post.
