I have just managed to retrieve an old Photobucket account that I used to use over ten years ago containing a bunch of my watch pics.
I was going to title the thread in happier days but that is not true😉.
Anyway here are some pre divorce pics from around 2007-8😀

Scattered all over the world. Unfortunately none with me.

Was the one that got you started in watch collecting among this group?

Funnily enough, no. I guess you could say it was the Chopard Mille Miglia (which I still have) that I got in 2000 in this pic.

Divorce ? I had a court ordered divorce settlement to buy my ex wife her own House. If you go to Bonham's auction catalog last auction in 2015, there is a section of rare Mil and other watches .... I had to auction some very rare ones for that settlement . And, as to be expected, coming to the Market all at once, they fetched only a fraction of the values. But the Court ordered Timeline was very short and that was that....A few even rarer ones went to known dealers, like the Blancpain Air Command, where less than 50 examples were manufactured. And, of course in today's values, for a fraction of the Potential as well. But that's part of life as well....

tell us you got to keep at least one
Yep, got to keep the Chopard. It was my 40th birthday present.

I would like to get all philosophical but I can't, I think she had gone too far before she realised she had made a mistake and that there was no going back so might as well finish the job properly.

However I do believe in Karma and I believe that is potentially coming to fruition and we all know the meaning of Karma:
"haha F@#K you"

I met this bloke who told me he’d been married 5 times……. I said: “So you’re a slow learner then!”
Oddly enough he didn’t choose to continue the conversation

Just remember, and from experience,

divorce is very expensive.

Because it’s worth it

A friend of mine had a sticky divorce and is now in a relationship but marriage is off the cards. He says if he thinks about marriage again, he will just find someone he does not like and buy them a house instead …. Which will turn out cheaper.
When I got married an official at the venue whispered to me - marriage is grand sir, but never forget divorce is many grand.
