Images that lift your spirits
Just back from three days of trailering in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. On the way out of the campground at 8:00 am this morning, I snapped these two pictures. This mule deer doe hung around the camp ground for the three days I was there. No bears!
A beautiful summer day in Bergen, Norway, in the old harbour inlet Vågen in the middle of the town. The area has history going back to the Viking ages, although existing stone buildings go back to the 1100’s.
In the picture from the left an old steamship Stord 1 from 1913, straight ahead is the three masted barque Stadsraad Lehmkuhl launched in 1914. Sadly a modern cruise ship is behind her, destroying the picture.
On the near right there are brick buildings built after a fire in 1702. Beyond that the wooden buildings are of similar age, standing on foundations that go back to the 10th century.
I was in Bergen a few years ago. Beautiful memory
