Sometimes it is just the little things that lift the spirits, walking my boys earlier this morning the birds were singing their wee hearts out and starting to build nests whilst the local farmer was hard at it.

Yes a happy start to the day,

This one always lifts my spirits when I see it

( comments when I posted it in the pets thread years ago )

Found on the beach this morning by one year old Tilly old last week. She Ran the gauntlet with it in her mouth past several large dogs trying to snatch it, carried proudly a whole 2km,s back to the car and had it in her mouth the whole trip home. ( must have washed up from a crocodile,s meal that floated away)

Picture says it all......

I'm pretty sure it's an Esquire quartz watch I had. I likely still have it in a bag of old watches in my vault. I should see if I can get it going I guess.

I made the same trip prior to major US sanctions, one of the best trips I’ve ever taken.
I lived there in the 70's a truly amazing country with friendly people despite the rhetoric etc.

I would love to go back some day, I have very happy memories of living there.

Boreal Chickadee. The northern sub-arctic forests is one of the things I miss after leaving the frozen north.

Three days after the adoption paperwork was settled we got back from Ethiopia, my son and I wasted no time getting onto the Ausable River. We've been fishing together ever since.

Super great dad. And a Michigander I assume.
