Moraine Lake in Winter, Banff National Park, Alberta …."The 20 dollar view"
In the summer there is a very nice trail on the right hand side of the lake that you can take all the way to the end of the lake. Lake is glacier fed so it is an azure blue in the spring and summer due to the rock flour washed in as the glaciers melt. One of the most photographed places in Canada. Hope to get back there in August once things are reopened.

This view was on the back of the Canadian 20 dollar bill a couple of times, hence 'the 20 dollar view'.

Three days after the adoption paperwork was settled we got back from Ethiopia, my son and I wasted no time getting onto the Ausable River. We've been fishing together ever since.

I was very tempted to say "cool" - but I won't.

I have many photos that I like but here are a couple.

My two girls last summer while on holiday:

And my father, who died 3 years ago. Photo is from mid 80’s, probably 1984 or 1985. He is wearing his father’s Omega on the photo, the watch I have now. Photo quality is terrible as I photographed the film photos with my IPhone.

Your father certainly looked one cool guy and your girls make me think of mine 👍

Loaning my modern Speedy Gonzales Moonwatch [with its Omega replica NASA strap] to the Grinch at Christmas was uplifting...I think...

There's only five counties in one state you could be...

Always a great day in that river!

Two states, actually, and we fish them both. Moral: never get too specific about your favorite fishing holes....

Trip to Iran. On the way to the mountains

In the mountains

Tehran from the mountains
Iranian style tea

City life

There is even a watch museum called Time Museum

I made the same trip prior to major US sanctions, one of the best trips I’ve ever taken.

Found this hungry guy in the back yard a few days after the "shelter-in-place" ordinance. I guess he took it seriously - he was there all day.

My daughter competing on the show jumping circuit. I hold my breath on every jump until she and her horse land safely on the other side. Beautiful to watch, but I often wish that she had a less dangerous passion.

When I'm really looking for some serenity (since I'm already a local up in the tip of the mitt) I head for the yoop

Let's be honest: The Au Sable where I'm from is the best one 😜

Edit: the lack of a space between Au and sable should've clued me in, but I was not reading carefully!
