You wouldn't know it from the way the politicians have locked down the states, especially WA. Or Melbourne, now in a six week lockdown where you can't go more than a few km's from your home.
Yes. And every rule they put in place has so many loopholes. Why bother?
Where I am, NSW, I see many people ignoring the testing guidelines.

I'm very interested to see if Omega is raising prices and Rolex putting out a Blue Sub in Stainless Steel.

I will say being in the New England area (I know we aren’t the only ones who experience it) but I am looking forward to hiking as the foliage changes. I found some great spots and I’m thinking the views should be beautiful
Wow nice. It’s getting into proper mushroom picking time here in Sweden too. Less mosquitoes as the weather cools which is a massive plus

Cool, can I ask how long it took you to become proficient in picking the right mushrooms? When I hit the trails I always notice them but I have no clue what is safe or not. I can see it being interesting to learn.

Not sure what type of mushrooms you have there but after a couple of picking days out you soon get the hang of it. Do you know what types are common near you. Here we have many different sort of chanterelles and porcini.

Thanks I know people do it in my area I can reach out to them. I’m surprised you picked it up after a couple days I’ll look further into it in my end

So much to look forward to in September. Forget about the negativity. Let’s focus on the good.
https://www.usopen.org/index.html 👍 Nearly there!

Also, (northern hemisphere) September means sleeves become possible more often, which means I get to wear more of my watches without excessive worrying.

You sound like a couple of ‘fun-guys’? 😁

Not much going on here in the UK in September to talk about either although could always put the Christmas tree up early I suppose... 😀

Tbh the whole hiking thing I got into as it’s part of my job, well I kind of made it part of my job, but I’m really getting into it. Always looking for something new to add in.

That’s commendable Sir; I need to start doing something like that as well 👍

In my younger days I followed the Grateful Dead on tour but those are mushrooms stories for a different forum

They grow like weeds here in Vancouver, suspiciously high concentrations on the university campus

Edit for clarity: the mushrooms grow very well here. Actually, the Grateful Dead fans do too

Anything exiting happening in your life in September?

Not sure if “exciting” is the right word, but I start my new 12-week writing course on the 14th. Well I think it’s exciting, anyway. Feels like the first thing I’ve had to look forward to in a long time.

Where to?

No grand tour this year just a short break to Northumberland but looking forward to it none the less and the weather forecast is reasonable 👍

Seems like one of the excitement is turning into a 41mm wide disappointment.

Still interested in seeing if Omega announces a Seamaster 300 MC update this month
