If you had the opportunity, which would you get? Rolex Pepsi or 321 Ed White

Tough one. Both very nice and historically significant. For myself I would only consider the 321 if I already had a standard Speedy and maybe a vintage version. Not exactly a fan of the sapphire sandwich and the bracelet.
For a Rolex GMT I’d be looking at an older 5-digit model (which may be more now but easier to get than a brand new one from an AD). I prefer the older shape and bezel.

I've wanted a quintessential Speedmaster for 20 years and never liked Rolex watches much so . . .

There probably isn't a watch model on the planet (or the moon) with more history than a Speedmaster.

This will likely be unpopular as this is an Omega forum; but I'd take the Pepsi all day, every day, supply issues notwithstanding. It's visually striking and a departure from a sea of silver-cased, black-dial watches.

Watch geeks and horology buffs will totally appreciate the Ed White, but there are so many interesting Speedy refs that any could substitute for it. The Pepsi is sublime.

I agree 100%!

If modern...unfortunately have to go with Rolex. Vintage 321 wins hands down though

Pepsi for sure but that’s because if I had the chance to buy just one Rolex at MSRP, it’d be the Pepsi.

Ed White, but I’m not a fan of dive watches and Rolex in general.

Pardon the dog hair. With two Aussies in the house, its never ending.

HEY!! I don’t appreciate that! We are all that hairy.

😁
Both the Omega Speedmaster chronograph and the Rolex GMT-master Pepsi have been on the Moon... as was the Bulova 88510 chronograph
Most watch brands have an amazing history (Breitling, Cartier, Glycine even Chinese Fiyta ! )

Unless it’s a Snoopy, the correct answer is always Rolex!!!! The Ed White is a lovely watch but from 2 feet away you can’t tell the difference between it and an 1861 or 3861. It’s a niche watch and only Omega enthusiasts care about it.

I own a number of Omegas (Snoopy 45th Anniversary, PO 2500 XL) and Rolex ( Daytonas, Subs, SeaDweller) but if you ask me to choose, it would be a no brainer!

321 for me but they are different styles so its gonna come down to preference. Ask the same question over on the Rolex Forums 😉

Probably ban you for even asking such an obvious question 😀

And that is what I love about it.

I have a 861 Speedmaster and I have no GMT, so I'd probably pick the Pepsi.
