The star is fine but has rotated which is a reasonably common occurrence.
However, the case looks polished and the black paint on the indices has degraded badly.
These watches are not rare, so unless it is very cheap it would be worth biding your time and looking for a better one.

I’d like to see better pictures of the full watch - but from what I can see of the case and with the condition of the dial this is $500 (max) watch.
If this were a family heirloom I would treasure it but as a purchase, personally I would pass at any price.
