Identification / Information Help

Good Afternoon. New member here. Looking for information about this watch. I received it after my great uncle passed away. My wife wears the diamond of my great aunt that I had made into a new engagement ring. I was quite close to him. I'm guessing from the movement photo it is a caliber 500 ? Case says 14k is that solid? Is this considered a seamster or something else? Any and all information greatly appreciated. Happy to do additional research as well with some mild pushing in the right direction.

Thank you - took to a local watchmaker to service. Maybe a stupid question (apologies in advance if so), safe to wear somewhat regularly? Not talking ironman competition but generally?
