Good Afternoon. New member here. Looking for information about this watch. I received it after my great uncle passed away. My wife wears the diamond of my great aunt that I had made into a new engagement ring. I was quite close to him. I'm guessing from the movement photo it is a caliber 500 ? Case says 14k is that solid? Is this considered a seamster or something else? Any and all information greatly appreciated. Happy to do additional research as well with some mild pushing in the right direction.

Thank you,
Dave

I think it is a local cased original Omega with (potentially) refinished dial. To avoid import taxes sometimes the Swiss made movement and dial were imported an received a local case. 14k suggest North America. And yes: most likely solid gold

Thank you - took to a local watchmaker to service. Maybe a stupid question (apologies in advance if so), safe to wear somewhat regularly? Not talking ironman competition but generally?

Should be fine to wear regularly after the service. Ask your watchmaker about water-resistance.
