Hello Peter, welcome on the Forum. The Crown is probably from a Seamaster. If you read this Article http://omega-constellation-collecto...omega-constellation-crowning-glories.html?m=1 you will learn more about it. Nice Connie, mine says hello! Other more knowledgeable Members will chime in.
Hi peter, looks good! Nice dial and case. Also de caseback medaillon looks shap. The crown is indeed not original for this model i think. The original buckle is a nice bonus. Here is my steel one:
It is a Seamaster crown of a type not normally used on Constellations. However, a few early Omega advertisements show this type of crown on Constellations, so it is possible that it is original to the watch. Another possibility is that the original crown was replaced some time ago and the Seamaster crown was added more recently to replace that, as originals of the correct Constellation crown are extremely hard to find. You can choose whichever explanation you like best! Personally I don't think it looks bad on the watch.
in the article that KingCrouchy showed me they talk about a four leave clover crown on some connies that sounds like my crown , but my gues is indeed its bin replaced at some time ago. i think the crown fit the watch and looks great and the fact that some models where like this im ok with it. i wear it allot and get great responces, they are realy things of beauty
Welcome to the forum, @maximus288 . Nice first vintage watch. I must say your English is much, much better than my Dutch. Draag het in goede gezondheid.
Thanks Peemacgee i like the steel and gold color of the watch, i must say that the arrowhead dial version that iv seen on the forum is even nicer
