And the w@nk3r has many more stolen watches to return.

Has anyone else, other than Robin and I, been promised returned watches?

There's a few others yes. One is a member on this forum, and a number of others scammed out of cash and watches from WUS as well as other forums. Not sure what's happening there

What is the latest with the police, may I ask? As many have said in this thread, fraud is still fraud, regardless of whether restitution is eventually made.

I find it interesting that these watches appear to have been hoarded, enjoyed even, and not just sold on for cash. That suggests to me that perhaps the thief is on some level someone with an appreciation for nice watches, making what he did even worse in my eyes.

I've turned over all of my evidence, email trail and all that to the RCMP, it's in their hands now.

As for this scumbag, he was trying to sell my watch on The Rolex Forum a couple of days after he received it. I caught him there, had the post flagged as STOLEN PROPERTY - went after the guy telling him that there is nowhere in the watch community that he could sell my watch and I wouldn't find him.

He may like watches, may even be knowledgeable about them, heck we conversed a great deal before proceeding with the trade. If you had asked me back then, I would have told you he was a legit collector. Now, however, he's a piece of dog (insert expletive here) and deserves whatever he's going to get from all this.
