Yet faced with the possibility of a consequence like this, Stefan/ Magnus had zero qualms about stealing from other people... (and possibly zero qualms using a relative's name!) That is precisely while jails and prisons exist. And anyone who goes typically will have a public record of it that sticks with them the rest of their life.

Do you want to be the one this guy cheats out of a few hundred thousand dollars 10 years from now because his history of stealing from others was deleted? I sure as heck do not feel like he is owed anything by society at this point in time.
So you're telling me we disagree? 馃槈

I said what I wanted to say. I leave the thread where it belongs. The victims. Again, good luck everybody!

No question I believe those who steal from others are some of the lowest forms of life out there.

Okay. If Stefan/ Magnus posts pics of his sister I will reconsider...

(and yes, I had to look that up. As a youth I was forced to be miserable for 3-1/2 hours watching a live presentation of 'Les Mis". I blocked that part of my memory. I am still emotionally scarred 馃榿)

I think jurists are always going to see the world with far more grey area than black & white- that鈥檚 why we need them.

I will qualify that last statement with jurists of intellect and temperance- not some of the right wing nut-jobs that are being appointed to benches in my country right now.

I can hardly imagine a thief using fake ID would be returning stolen goods. The only reason the watch has been returned is because the thief has been unmasked, so I would assume one of the two names is definitely the low life thief
That is an assumption and you may be correct. It鈥檚 also possible the posts here made the real identity owner aware of what happened and he in turn exerted additional pressure on the local authorities or raised more local awareness and that contributed to the thief feeling cornered and returning the watch. I don鈥檛 know, just speculating about other possibilities on the back of the earlier posts about identities being permanent on the internet. @guaranteed.rohu is to be congratulated for his effort and I hope nobody here thinks I鈥檓 taking sides with the perpetrator because that鈥檚 certainly not the case.

This thread that getting a bit silly now.!!! Everyone dog piling on what should happen to this individual is rather pathetic. The obtuse threats and the like will rightly bring ridicule and makes us all look like cockwombles!!
The guy has been outed and shamed, that's enough....

And I don't believe any of this rock through the window crap. But big deal.... we already knew he was a lying shit!!!!

That's a new one. Had to look it up. Although, in the context, I could figure it out.

First time I heard the term also. Cockwomble! I've been one a time or two.

As some others have said, I personally also do believe that redemption/second chances should be available to anyone.

However it's fine balance between that - and doing the right thing by others, so that no others are not scammed too (/other victims receive their restitution). I think looking at the facts, there are at least 13 people including myself who have publicly voiced (on forums) that they have been scammed by this one guy. How many others victims are out there who aren't active on watch forums?

Given Magnus/Stefan has been active for a number of years, it wouldn't be hard to see at least another 13 or more victims who haven't seen this post or haven't come out yet. Given the scale and magnitude (magnustude?) of the serial scamming (it is definitely not a one-off), you'd have to say that it seems very likely this guy will try and cheat his way again in his life. Some of the scams weren't even for much money, given the effort he put in (like on Replica Watch Forums). He clearly was doing it in some part for the thrill and game of it, and just could not stop. Until now 馃槈

This magnus is a real cockwomble and that鈥檚 coming from an American. I say continue to pile it on. We all know what watches mean to us and if someone takes advantage of another鈥檚 trust screw him. He bilked many people and I鈥檇 go as far to say he is a double cockwomble, we shorten that in the US to cock.

Hi guys,

Someone on page 16 said 2 watches were returned. As of right now, only 1 was returned. My box is still in transit from Iceland and until I open it and see my Railmaster (in good condition), there has only been 1 watch returned.

I am still very pissed and will remain so, until I have my property back. Then, perhaps, I may be a little less pissed.

Yep - this isn't a one off offence from someone who's life happens to be falling apart and they made one bad decision - this is a serial offender who has been doing this for a while.
