I question about a vintage Omega

Hello. This was a watch with family history, but I rarely wear it. I had it overhauled by a jeweler a few years ago and it keeps excellent time as long as it is worn or wound. The gold strap is the original one that was on the watch when it was originally purchased. When I had asked about it at an Omega boutique once they said it was a known, unusual watch band but I have not been able to find any information about it. My question is whether the watch has any collector value or is it possibly just worth its value for the gold.

Unfortunately the dial has been refinished which significantly impacts the collector value. That coupled with the high value of gold means the value will be in the (probably substantial) gold weight

Thank you! If I was able to keep it wound on my winder I might have felt different about keeping it, but as bumper watches do not work on winders it helps make the decision easier. Thanks again for the fast response!
