I don’t dislike the watch, but I’ll play devil’s advocate here.
You haven’t given us anything to go on. Is it a good first Omega? Yes—insofar as you apparently don’t have an Omega, so it would be your first, and this is indeed an Omega that some people like.
But what are you looking for? A casual watch? One you’re going to wear with a suit? Something really classic that gets to the core of Omega as a brand? And what calls to you about this one?
If all you care about is owning a watch from a prestigious luxury brand that has a little Omega symbol on the dial, I’d probably suggest a preowned 90s Bond style diver or something. This is a pretty niche watch, and although several of its admirers have already responded, you should know (as others have hinted) that it’s a controversial design. If it’s selling cheap, well, there’s a reason for that. Yes it’s a lot of tech for the money, but you have to like how it looks on your wrist, and faux denim dial (on a denim style strap) is a bold look that many won’t like and that may not age well.
Give us a little more so we can make a more informed suggestion?
I own the black dial variant as well as the '57 version...
speaking to my own experiences with the 40mm version:
great dial with a caveat ~ it's not actually black but transitions from black to a steely brownish. So I would guess the blue dial doesn't stay blue/denim either depending on how the light hits it.
Not a fan of the bracelet, a butterfly clasp seems too formal for what is arguably a "tool/engineer" watch. I prefer it either on a strap or US flatlink bracelet.
Fabulous lume.
Nitpicking ~ wish the crown was more traditional shaped (vs muffin shaped) - and - the case it too damn thick.
