I like the Search Function on this site

    Just thought I'd post that as a new user here, I really like the Search Function on this site.
    It helps me from asking questions that have been asked many times before.

    For example, I was going to ask "why do people hide the serial number of a watch when they post a picture of it?".

    But, if you do a search, there must be a dozen threads that have lots of good answers why.

    For that topic, it is best to search for "blur out serial number", "censor serial number", or "hide serial number".

    Fully agree RonJ-in-VA there is a wealth of information here that we can benefit from, thanks to all contributors.

    You’d think more people would use it...

    There are dozens of threads that ask about winding a Speedmaster.

    The search function has yielded me tons of results and often funny threads that go in wild tangents. Those are the best hidden treasures.

    I try full boolean commands and I get to smart for myself, or it kicks out too many results.
