Yeah, that's fairly useless. Thanks for the heads up. Added to the list 😀

The l/h margin is now correct on IE 11. I am sure that the underlying machinery all works better than the previous platform, but the actual look and feel is dismal, at least to these eyes. Everything seems to be smaller and harder to see than it was (for example, the "likes" under a post). Colour needs to be used constructively to reduce glare and make the page more friendly. It seems to me that what is happening (and the same happened between IE 10 and IE 11) is that software which once worked really nicely on a PC has been compromised to make it work at all on a 'phone. Ebay have done the same thing and made their user interface worse, not better (for example, removing the colour from their 'paid', 'despatched' etc icons).

Thanks for the feedback. We're bringing over more of the design elements that everyone likes from ΩF2->ΩF3 as required, but it's a rather large system that's quite tedious to modify.

Also, just a heads up that Internet Explorer usually receives less focus for our testing and fixes. We prioritize based on the browsers our members are using most frequently, which puts IE down at the bottom (13% total usage and declining). If you want to ensure the best experience and full access to any future features on ΩF, we'd strongly recommend using any of the 'A-grade' options:

A-Grade: Google Chrome (Mac/PC and Android), Apple's Safari (Mac and iOS), Mozilla Firefox(Mac/PC), Opera(Mac/PC)
B-Grade: IE11, IE10, IE on Windows Phone
C-Grade: IE9, which works ok but doesn't support easy multi-photo uploads.
Not supported or tested: IE8 or less + other edge-case browsers you'd find on old Blackberry or Symbian devices. Some of these like IE8 might still work, but have issues.

I used IE9 at work this morning, it works but not properly (elements not visible).

Got home this arvo and checked with Chrome on my Mac, Wunderbar!

It takes some getting used to after V2, but in a few weeks who will remember that

Big thanks to the dev team!

PS: Can't see smilies toolbar?

Smilies should be unchanged. Which browser were you experiencing issues with?

That's weird, on Chrome 38 here I can see them.

Are they still missing for you?

That's an interesting one, looks like it's not loading the editor at all.

can we reinstate the "show unread only" button under Latest/Threads ? I find that really useful.

Looking better! One more thing - on the main page showing all the sub-forums, there is very limited information about what the latest post is in any specific forum, so for example it will say "Latest" with a time and the avatar of the person who posted last in that forum.

This page used to have the title of the last updated thread in a specific forum - can that be added back?

Cheers, Al
