I just bought this speedy reduced. It was purchased from Crown and Caliber website. Anybody have any experience buying from this site? Good or bad? I was wondering if their watchmakers actually check and maintenance the watch before selling. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks again

We have one of those, the exact same model. Great watch. Yours has a 1 year warrantee so chances are it's healthy.

I have not purchased from them. Per your post C&C "examined, performance-tested and authenticated" the watch.

Watch seller definitions (tongue firmly in cheek) 😁
1- Examined
We looked at the watch
2- Performance-tested
We put it on a Timegrapher (and don't tell you the results)
3- Authenticated
Sure looks like an Omega to us.

I am sure they are legit, they have been around for a while. Understand that performance tested does not mean they serviced the watch, and unless the contacted Omega for an Extract of the Archives there is no way for them to authenticate a watch other than an educated guess on their part.
It's a great looking watch, wear it well. Going forward you should ask these questions to the seller before you make the purchase.

I have purchased twice from them and have found out through their own representative that no, the watches are not serviced unless stated so in the description. The first watch I purchased was returned for a refund and the second watch was returned for warranty/servicing two days after I received it for corrosion and other issues. It took over a month for them to receive the parts as they came direct from Omega.

The rep from C&C told me that the listing information will directly state if it was serviced or not. If it doesn't state it, then it was not. For the most part C&C just verifies the watch's authenticity before listing and that is it. Here are a couple screenshots of Speedmaster's where two were serviced and one was not. With that said, I would still budget for a servicing.

I doubt it's guesswork. Chances are they know for sure.

The first watch I purchased from them was actually a speedy reduced like yours. The bracelet was badly damaged and was not shown in the listing images or the description. That and it being too small were the reasons I returned it.

The second watch was a SMP300. The issues also were not stated in the description or shown in the pics. The bezel insert had corrosion and was just about falling out. There was haze and a fingerprint on the bottom side of the crystal only noticeable in just the right light. Two issues you’d expect someone inspecting a watch to notice but prove they do not service them unless stated. I won’t be buying from them in the future because they are pricey and if you put in the time for homework, you’ll find even better deals from equally if not more reputable outlets.

Ultimately, the watches come with a red sticker on them. Do not remove it unless you are absolutely positive you want to keep it. Thoroughly inspect the watch yourself under varying lighting conditions and functionality. Call a couple reputable watch makers and ask how much it is to service that watch. From what I understand the movement inside makes servicing pricey. If you want to keep it, budget for a service because it wasn’t serviced by them.

Good to know. Thanks for the reply

The watch came in a generic but nice watch box. Had some warranty papers included from CNC. The condition was much better than the description. Very small micro scratches on the heslite. Very small imperfections here and there. But not bad at all. Next is testing the timing and function.
