I collected this recently and I've been reminded again just how well Omega works with titanium, yes they over charge for it, but it allows me to wear a larger watch with out the heft.

Here's a few pics of mine, but would love to see any other ti watches and hear why you like it.

Totally agree the titanium finish on omega watches I think it superb.

I do love that seamaster with the blue dial. Haven’t tried it on in daylight but hope it takes on a few different shades like blue dials tend to.

It does change the shade of blue depending on the sunlight.

I've had Ti watches before, and am on the trail for that Ti Speedy on top (long post somewhere in this forum).

I'd fractured my left wrist some years ago, and find Ti doesn't act as a heat sink when temperatures fall. For some reason, it's warmer on the skin, especially with a solid caseback. Then again, it could be my weird perception.

Beautiful watches in the pics, BTW.

Totally agree. Nobody overcharges on titanium like Omega, but nobody does blue (or those titanium dials) like they do either.

I'm also lovin' Omega's Ti. Must be a special proprietary alloy because it shines like stainless steel instead of the typical dull gray shade like other Ti watches, including older Ti Omegas

I don't think the material itself is proprietary (Omega advertises many of these models as just using Grade 5 titanium, which isn't uncommon in medical and aerospace), but rather how it's finished - they do more finishing to bring the watches in line with the techniques used on their stainless steel models, and I'd argue that it's the finishing that adds to the cost.

I've seen modern Ti Omegas get polished and the color remains the same, that's why I assumed what makes it special is in the metal itself. Also, I've noticed that scratches don't oxidize/"self-heal" like other Ti watches

X-33 is a good travel watch. Nice and light with the Titanium construction too. (Old photo)

I like it. But couldn't feel the watch on my wrist so couldn't spend that much to not feel something lol

Titanium with gold. I find it’s too light and scratches not possible to polish off. But a beautiful watch

There has to be a 1st non-Omega Ti watch in this thread. Why I like it? A great looking watch, legibility, toughness, lightweight and Lemania 5100. I've still got to switch back to the original bezel though.

I own the 2231.80 and 2296.80 I love the lightness of Ti however these are grade 2 I believe instead of the now used grade 5 titanium , I sometimes feel altough light and strong it scratches as easily as gold.
