Advice on Seamaster 2231.50 Titanium bracelet refinishing/polishing

After lusting after a titanium seamaster 2231.50 for months i've finally bagged one for an OK price of 2200 GBP.

My question is about refinishing the bracelet. Ive done this many times with my tudor pelagos 39 titanium watch with a 3M grey scotchbrite pad, slowly passing the bracelet over the pad in a forward motion carefully with light pressure refinished it and removes all light scratches - it's magic! My question is about the 2231.50's bracelet, would it refinish in the same way? I know the stainless steel version of the bracelet has polished center links so this would be a no go but can it be done with the titanium version? from photos the center links don't look polished.

Here's some pics from the chrono listing. I can't wait to get the watch!

Cheers

To anyone interested. I managed to refinish the bracelet very very easily with a grey 3m scotchbrite pad, passing the bracelet slowly over it in even straight stokes. It looks fantastic now!

And pictures please.

Maybe I should have a go at it too, the clasp on the 2254 in 'hella' shiny.

Oh yeah, that is far too shiny. Somebody must have given it a polish with a 'mirror polish' compount. I did that once on a brushed bracelet by polishing it with Flitz polish and it game out just like that. You should be able to bring it back using this method.

You need a grey 3M scotchbrite pad, you hold the pad flat on a table and pass the watch bracelet over it with gentle/medium pressure in one direction over and over slowly. It's important to only go in one direction so the brushing looks neat and clean afterwards. You're basically making thousands of tiny straight scratches in it to give it that 'brushed' look. You must be careful if you've got a mixture of polished and brushed surfaces on your bracelet to tape up the polished pits, otherwise they will become brushed! This titanium bracelet is easy as it's all brushed. There's a few videos on youtube you can check out before you do it. Here's some before and after pics of mine!

In the photos you can clearly see the majority of the scraches are gone. Some still remain after but they could be too deep or I might need to go over the bracelet a few more times. This was after passing it over the 3m pad roughly 10 times. The one thing I'm worried about with this bracelet is the clasp, the titanium version of this seamaster seems to have a shallow laser etched OMEGA logo on it and I'm worried this method will remove it. The steel versions of this seamaster have a much deeper engraving that would be fine.

Thanks for the info, your brushing looks really good, you are right in being careful its easy to get carried away. Have you turned your bracelet inside out? Shouldnt the arrow on the nr 2 link be on the other side?

Thanks! It's really easy if you just take your time and go straight. Good question about the arrow and no, the bracelet is the right way around. I bought this watch second hand and the guy before me must have put the link in upside down! I'm still yet to change it over.

If you do the same to yours, drop a pic here.
