Hi all,

So I had the watch looked at and learned that the hairspring needs repair and the setting bridge needs replaced. The watch is Doxa cal 1147, and starts running upon pick up, so it seems to want to live. Are donors or parts generally available for these, or might this be a money pit to pursue as a project? I’m saving up for something special, and don’t want to get too deep. Anyone have experience with these? Thanks in advance for your guidance 👍

I think there was a thread about in for a penny, in for a pound. Like my
$35 Gruen bumper that ended up costing me about $300

Dave, I love that dial. It has some character. I wouldn't try to find a better case, I'd just wear that one as a nice beater.
+1 Just service the movement … it’s rare to find great patina like this. Love it!
