·Well I had to go ahead and do it.... I bought are you all ready for this; drum roll please. A stainless steel wristwatch! A 145.009 Chronostop to be exact. I really looking forward to getting it. Pic from seller:

·Thanks. It's actually an aftermarket bracelet. It came up at the right price on eBay so I jumped.

A lot of members own, or have owned Geneve Chronostops.
Cool little watches - they can be picked up very reasonably, but service isn't cheap, and it's easy to spend the same amount on a service as what you paid for the watch.
Not sure how much discussion you'd expect... or what on? ☕

Chronostops are nifty, anybody have an original SS bracelet ? Not around much in good shape.

·I have the driver version as well as a jumbo chronostop and I am looking out for a deville chronostop fontana version. I find them very comfortable to wear so they both get a lot of wrist time. (Well, not now because I only brought a Swatch watch with me to Malawi. I was advised that bringing anything that looks valuable would probably end up on the wrist of a traffic policeman sooner rather than later. Not sure if that is true, but I have had to pay a few bribes to officials for various things)
