    Hey all,
New to the forum and saw a lot of people saying they could give advice on buying used.
I am wanting to buy my wife an omega as a present and have seen this for sale on ebay but with not much detail and no box or cards. What version of the deville is it and does this look le git? They are asking around the £280 mark. I'm sorry if I've come across a bit crude.

    Kindest regards

It is very expensive for a very small watch.

The edges have been slightly polished, and the band isn't exactly the greatest.

You can get far nicer ladies watches for cheaper than that.

As an aside, would you know what your wife wants in a watch? for example, manual or automatic movement, case material, size, seconds hand (or lack of,) sub dial/sweep etc.

Tyrantlizardrex wow that is a marmite watch for sure. Thanks for the needed input.
She wants something quite simple but elegant. Movement wise I think she would be happy with manual. Quite simply she likes something that looks nice to her which equates to round face, gold or white back with leather strap.
Also I may have made a silly mistake but Ive committed to buying it.
So its now just a case of finding out what model and movement this one is.
    Cheers guys

Well the listing says it's Quartz... so battery powered.

As to the model... no idea without seeking the watch reference that will be stamped inside the case.

Here's the manual wind version: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182084691172Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

As long as my wife never finds this page, I can just about deal with the guilt.

I kinda like the "different back", I do agree that the asking price is just a tad steep (to say the least). I understand they are rare but not £7500 rare. They must be worth a bit more than the normal model and one would assume they would keep their price well.
